Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.
ROMANS 12:1
First is to teach Biblical principles that we so often fail to put into practice in our own lives. Secondly, as a team we are to teach principles of ministry that are necessary to reach people for Christ. Rehearsals are used as an opportunity for the directors/directress’ to instill the concept of the ministry in the arts to help participants realize that even though they maybe gifted in the arts and give the best performances possible, if their hearts are not transformed, they have wasted their time and more importantly have not pleased God. The arts are geared to empower, enrich, motivate, mentor, and keep participants focused on living a life that is pleasing to God.
Oftentimes, the biggest impact will be on the participants themselves. They learn not only the Biblical principles of the arts, but feel the humbling experiences of seeing a life changed because they have been a willing vessel and allowed God to work through them.
